At the end of Day 1, just three players have completed their matches without dropping a frame.
Sybren Sokolowski and reigning champion Tyler Rees both finish the day with three 3-0 wins, whilst Jackson Page despatched his two opponents without reply.
Fifteen other players concluded their days unbeaten, with Taylor Fish and Amir Nardeia also making breaks of 75 and 69 respectively to take second and fourth place in the breaks table to add to their unbeaten status.
The first century of the tournament was cued by Aaron Hill of Ireland, a fine 102 might well have been the turning point of his match with Iulian Boiko of the Ukraine. Aaron holds on to first place in the breaks table at the end of the first days play.
