Mens Knockout Top Half of Draw

The first stage of the knockout is underway and the top half has completed this morning.

Stand out performances so far are Jamie Clarke (Wales) David Lilley (England), Maor Shalom (Israel), Brian Cini (Malta) and Kacper Filipiak (Poland) who are all through with 4-0 wins, all in line with the seeding. German Felix Frede was the only player this morning to beat a higher seeded player, winning 4-1 against Irishman Philip Browne

French teenager Neil Vincent, seeded #57, deserves an honourable mention. His match with Michael Judge (#8) went to the pink in the seventh frame and an upset looked on the cards for much of the frame.

The lower half of the draw plays through the rest of the day. Peter Line and Jason Peplow have both won 4-0, Andrew Pagett 4-1 and John Farrell 4-2 so far
