Not only are Bulgaria through its Federation, Sponsors and Supporters are second to none when it comes to hosting Snooker events and the game is improving all the time and with the power swing in Snooker towards Eastern Europe, with players from The Ukraine, Poland and Latvia dominating the amateur scene in recent years and now competing on the Main Tour, Bulgaria are looking to emulate that success.

Oleg Velinov about pictured with EBSA President Maxime Cassis is really the driving force of the game in Bulgaria. His experience at organising exhibitions and events like the most recent the World Snooker Federation Championships in Sofia last January, was a huge success and a prime example of what is possible when someone as passionate about the game as Oleg is.

There is no doubt whatsoever, but the Championships over the next couple of weeks will be a huge success too.
