EBSA Set a New Record for Gandia

The EBSA are proud to announce that the forthcoming European Championships from March 1-14 in Gandia in the Province of Valencia in Espana will reach a record high new number of competitiors .
This is a brand new chapter for Spanish Snooker as it hosts its very first EBSA European Championship on Spanish soil and to top that off we will have an incredible entry for the U16, U18, U21 and the Mens Event.
EBSA President Maxime Cassis said “I am really excited about going to Gandia to host our European Championships and the interest in the event has been excellent. We have 180 players entered into the Men’s Championship which just goes to show the huge interest in the event, plus we have big numbers in the underage Championships. 78 playeres in the Under 16 Championship, 98 players challenging for the under 18 title and a fantastic entry of 100 cueists in the under 21 event. These are excellent figures and they set a new record for entries to an EBSA European Snooker Championships. I look forward to what should be two really exciting weeks of Snooker in the Gandia ending on the 14th of March and I want to congratulate and thank the Real Federación Española de Billar (RFEB)”
Maxime Cassis added “Then from the 15th of March until the 17th of March the EBSA plays host to the 2026 Global Q-Tour Playoffs an event with the WPBSA that we are deilghted to be involved with. It will be a great March of Snooker and I welcome to everyone to Gandia and may the best players win”.
The creation of this event has not happened overnight, there has been a lot of hard work put in from all Parties to bring Spain it first European Snooker Championships.
