Family’s eyes on André Santos

Born and raised in Lagos, beautiful city just 25 miles (40 kms) from Albufeira and this 2020 European Snooker Championships, portugueses referee André Santos, aged 27, is playing at home and had the priviledge of getting his family to see him in action for the very first time in ten years wearing the white gloves.

Granny Isabel, his mother Célia, so as his elder brother Tiago and father José attended Salgados Palace Hotel during this Sunday delighted to watch the family’s pride in action.

«Wonderful sport. Great Atmosphere. Classy. Love to watch it on TV, but alive it’s even fantastic. We’re so proud of him. Hope he fulfills all his dreams, because he really deserves it», told us a very proud Célia.

Humble as usual, André couldn´t resist looking for the stands once a while. It was a lifetime gathering for Santos family. «I’m very proud and it means the world to me, it’s a dream come true to have my family watching me for the first time. They were and are always there for me and are my biggest support and biggest fans», told us the Portuguese referee.
