Gary Milne carried England 1 to a 4:2 win against Germany in the quarterfinals of the 2023 European Seniors Team Championships in Albena (Bulgaria). With teammate Wayne Brown having a rare day off, the individual event runner-up Milne won all four frames he plays in to win his second medal of the Championships.

Next for England 1 is a match against Ireland 1 who in a very slow-moving match survived against Belgium – 4:2.

In fact, all four of the quarterfinals finished by a score of 4:2. In the top half favorites Wales knocked out Malta 1 while England 2 beat Malta 2 by the same score.
