Leão is now a Class 2 referee

João Leão has been approved on his Class 2 referee examination during this Friday at the 2020 European Snooker Champions made by Russian Head Referee and examiner Vadim Krivda.

Two years after approval for a Class 3 snooker referee the Portuguese lawyer joins the upper level pleased and even more passionate about snooker and billiards in general: he is also a Class 2 EPBF referee and intends to try also carambol.

During this championships several more referees will take also this next step which includes a practical evaluation while refereeing a match and also an oral quiz about the game’s rules.

In the meantime, fast and furious Ukraine’s Iulian Boiko got the first chair in Last 16 round defeating Hungarian Attila Horvath 4-0 in one hour on the first Last 32 match concluded this morning at fabulous Salgados Palace Hotel.
