Harvey Chandler booked a place in the quarterfinals of the 6-Red event at the 2023 European Championships in Albena (Bulgaria) after a nervy 4:2 win over Neil Vincent (France). The 28-year-old Englishman was excellent in the long potting but struggled to finish the frames which got him into troubles in the first and fifth frames but held his nerves in the end.

Chandler, a prominent figure on the English amateur scene and on Q Tour will face on Sunday morning Peter Bullen who prevented an All-English quarterfinal by defeating Graham Beardmore 4:0. In a low-scoring affair the Belgian veteran fired a 44 break in the second and finished the match on the black in the fourth.

Through to the quarters are also Alex Borg (Malta), Wayne Brown (England), David Vaitzman and Shachar Ruberg (Israel), John Farrell (Ireland) and Nicolas Mortreux (France).
