It is with great sadness that the EBSA has heard of the passing of a visionary person for all cue sports in Portugal, António Carrinho who sadly has passed away and with this devestating news, Billiards and Snooker has lost an incredibly important Man to our Sport and an incredible person to know.

António Carrinho, was the visionary behind Bilhares Carrinho and a defining figure of Portuguese cue sports.

EBSA President Maxime Cassis said “The EBSA Team and I are deeply saddend by this news today, António was a fantastic man who gave his life to the game and was a mentor for many and will be sadly missed by everyone. The EBSA forged a great friendship with António and he will never be forgotten. It was an honour to have known him and may he rest in peace”.

Our thoughts are with his wife, Mónica, their family, his colleagues in Anadia, Portugal.
