Parsons meets Wild in Men all England quarterfinal

Antony Parsons (pictured) performed the most outstanding comeback so far in Men 2015 European Snooker Championships Last 16 round of matches, by beating Robert Carlisle (Scotland) 5-4 after he had been 0-4 down.

In the quarterfinals, he will face his fellow countryman Michael Wild, who beat – also in the deciding frame but after a very balanced match where he also had to comeback, from 0-3 and 2-4 down to win it 5-4 – Mateusz Baranowski (Poland) in another exciting match at the arena of Prague’s Top Hotel.

Smashing hit also for Jamie Rhys Clarke (Wales) over Brendan O’Donoghue (Ireland) by 5-1, with impressive break sequence on the five frames won: 91, 72, 114, 90 and 91. Big surprise is 18 years old Andres Petrov (Estonia) – who had already a 147 break, but in practice – in quarterfinals, after beating Declan Lavery (Northern Ireland) also in the deciding frame (5-4).

Last match of Last 16 round to end allowed Kacper Filipiak to save the honor from Poland: they were five dreaming with the European crown, now there’s only him, after beating 5-3 Shachar Ruberg (Israel).
