Aleksandra Bogatyreva joins Albina Leschuk as 2nd woman competing in Albufeira

Russian Aleksandra Bogatyreva joined Belarus Albina Leschuk, who has already played the previous U18 event, as the 2nd woman improving her skills in the 2020 European Snooker Championships in Albufeira.

The 18 years old Saint Petersburg player lost her first two matches in Group Q of the U21 tournament but keeps smiling and dreaming about getting to the knock-out stages.

«It’s quite a strange sensation playing among 90 men, the heads turn when I come but I’m getting used to it. Just hope me and Albina can inspire some more women to grab a cue and try this sport I love so much» told us Aleksandra.

Her good Ucranian friend Iulian Boiko agrees that Bogatyreva is a rising star. «It’s good to see some more women competing. We knew each other for ages and she is quite a good player and can still do wonders in the future» it’s last WSF Open runner-up’s opinion.
