Romanian Snooker nearing 20th Anniversary

When the Romanian Snooker Federation was formed in 2007 it was the start of an evolution of the game and the beginning of something special that today shows how just like in Romania, the game is developing all across Europe.

Countries like Poland, Ukraine, Latvia and Hungary have or have had WST Main Tour players and the growth of the game has been magnificent right through the Continent and with the facilities and conditions in Bucharest now in place the future of the development of the game surely means that it is only a matter of time before Romania joins that list of European Nations and then they can support one of their own stars on the biggest stage of them all.

Iustin Scripei, Dragoș Singeap, Sorin Anton, Alexandru Radu, Mihai Anton, Andrei Rusen, Andrei Călin and David Nistor are the Junior Romanian players that will play in Gandia.

The Father of Romanian Snooker is most definitely Dragos Cozmaciuc. A man filled with so much pride and devotion for the game that he lives and breathes Romanina Snooker and with his determination and passion for the game Romania now boasts a magnificent National Snooker Centre in Bucharest which has seven championship tables on the grounds of the University Politechnic Bucharest.

As the Romanian Snooker Coach Dragos who became a Coach under the legendary Terry Griffiths brings all his experience from his sporting life as a former Professional Footballer and a World Class Karate competitior and Coach into his role within the European World of Snooker and as an EBSA Coach he has ensured the the Romanian Snooker Federation are very strong members of the European Snooker Family.

Now Spain awaits for the Romanian players pictured with the President of the EBSA Maxime Cassis in Turkey last year.
