Just one more day to go and the two venues here in Sofia look superb in what will be a real festival of Snooker in Bulgaria’s Capital City.

Players, Official’s and Referees are arriving from all over Europe today and following the Referees Meeting tonight at 22.00 EET and the Players Meeting tomorrow morning at 09.00 EET play will begin at 10am.

The EBSA are delighted to host its inaugural Super Seniors event here in Sofia and in that tournament, one name stands out and that is the most successful European player of all time the ‘Welsh Dragon’ Darren Morgan.

In the past couple of years the Seniors, Shootout and 6 Reds had been dominated by England’s Craig Steadman who made a clean sweep of all three events in Albania, but with Steadman back on the Main Tour following his success in Gandia in Spain last March where he was triumphant in the Global Q-Tour playoffs, three European Titles are now up for Grabs.

In the Womens Senior Championship Anna Prysazhnuka looks to defend her European Title and claim a third European Gold in just four years, but the 2024 European Champion Rebecca Kenna will have something to say about that and also lets not forget Kenna partnered up with Ellise Scott last year to win the Womens European Team Title for England.

All in All it should be a very exciting European Championships at the Ramada Princess Hotel in Sofia and when you add the European Disability Championships and the Q-Tour Europe event 2 into the mix, its going to be Snooker Heaven in Bulgaria.
