The reigning Women and Seniors European champions, Belgium’s Wendy Jans and Welshman Darren Morgan, claimed victories already in this Tuesday morning semifinals to book their place in the Finals still to be played Best of 7 Frames this June 14th at the 2022 EBSA European Snooker Championships.
Aiming for a 13th European title, Morgan claimed victory by 4 Frames to 2 facing Malta’s Duncan Bezzina. He now waits for the other semifinal winner – Belgium’s Peter Bullen or England’s Wayne Brown – at the 4 p.m. Seniors event final, also to be played best of 7 Frames.
Previously still this morning, Wendy Jans, also on the run for an historical 14th European Women title, prevailed in the Ladies event by 4 Frames to 0 facing Poland’s Dalia Alska and now waits the ending of semifinal 2 to know her opponent in this Tuesday 7 p.m. best of 7 Frames Women’s event final at Shengjin’s Delfin Resort.
Germany’s Diana Stateczny and Latvia’s Anna Prisazhnuka still battle for the spot to face birthday girl Wendy Jans: her 38th anniversary might have a magical 14th title as a present – the Belgian is one step and victory away from it, as Darren Morgan from also an outstanding 13th win.
