Official Opening Ceremony: welcome, Europe!

The delegations from 40 nations all over Europe at the Shengjin’s Delfin Resort received a warm welcome this Friday night from EBSA and Albania Snooker Federation at the Official Opening Ceremony of the 2022 European Snooker Championships.

The French conection at Shengjin: Nicolas Mortreux will play U21 quarterfinals on Saturday

A tide of waistcoats of all colours and lots of joy from the competitors from the younger stages already in Albania for the U18, U16 and U21 events – the two first already finished, U21 quarterfinals matches to be played Saturday June 11th – applauded the new European U16 champion, Latvia’s Artemis Zizins.

Music is a universal language and gave a special touch to the ceremony

Very appreciated words of welcome to the competitors and relatives from EBSA Chairman Maxime Cassis and Albania’s Snooker Federation President Ogert Schkrepa brought even more joy to the competitors and relatives.

Only two of the nine tournament event’s are concluded, U21 on the run but still six more European kings are still to be crown until June 19th in Albania: Men, Ladies, Seniors, Men’s Teams, Ladies Teams and Seniors Teams.

Poland with another huge delegation ready for the action

The blue from France, red from Wales and green from Ireland competitors could be easily spotted in the middle of so many players and guests, anxious to start their own competitions at Shengjin’s Delfin Resort.
