After a slow start, the sunny Saturday morning saw the initial stages of the European Team Snooker Championships across all three categories, Masters, Women and Men take place.
The day saw favourites claim head after head across all categories, with European Open champion Darren Morgan opening the day with a win for Wales. The only upset in the Masters category ended up being Adams’ and McAlpine’s fall against Israel’s Pagliari and Tayar 2-3.
A couple of tense deciders took place in the Women’s category, with Romania’s Maracine an Manolache overtaking Ireland’s Judge and Pearson, while Israel’s Troyanovski and Kurbakova edged it over Bulgaria’s Nikolova and Bakalska.
The evening session sees a number of teams wrap up their action to make way for the individual Ladies’ and Masters’ bouts.
