EBSA are delighted to announce that they have signed new contract with STAR to supply STAR tables for all EBSA championships.
Following a number of discussions and the subsequent signing of the three year Contract with Mr Jason Gan (pictured), Director of STAR company in China, EBSA Chairman Maxime Cassis said “this is a great moment in the history of EBSA, as the EBSA Board are eager to give all competitors the best conditions to compete, as well as aligning them to the same playing conditions that are currently enjoyed by those on the professional circuit. We are now looking forward to a successful relationship with STAR, who are keen to help us to promote our sport across Europe”.
The introduction of the STAR tables and equipment will be unveiled during the European U21s, U18s and Men’s Individual Snooker Championships that will be taking place in Poland in February 2016. Member countries staging championships will continue to have the first option to purchase the tables after staging the championships, and all member countries will then have the opportunity to purchase remaining units.
In a desire to assist EBSA promote snooker across the region, STAR have also kindly agreed to provide free delivery of the professional Snooker tables to the first event in Europe of each year.
The signing of the contract was covered by Chinese national television (CCTV) with many other national newspapers also covering the story.
