Final Cue Zone Spain 2026

The final PJ Nolan EBSA Cue Zone was held on Wednesday 11th of March in the Palace Hotel in Gandia at the 2026 European Snooker Championships here in Spain.

EBSA Head of Coaching PJ Nolan from Ireland conducted free cue zones on the 2nd -5th and 9th-11th from 10am – 4pm for EBSA players who attended this year’s European Snooker Championships.

Maxime Cassis EBSA President ‘’ said that our EBSA cue zones are a vital part of our development of the sport in Europe. We are delighted to have PJ holding these cue zones to help our players improve their game’’

PJ would like to thank all the players who were in the cue zone this year. He hopes they all enjoyed their session and were motivated to work on the fundamentals to improve their games in preparation for the 2027 Championships.

It was an honour to hold the cue zone, and he thanked EBSA board and everyone involved in holding this Championship in Spain for all their support.

Players in Action Today

PJ worked today with talented players from Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Bulgaria on developing good fundamentals in their Approach, Using the Rest, Cue Action, Stance and Bridge Hand plus on their Break Building Skills.

The players practiced a selection of PJ’s practice drills and receive a handout with information on what to practice and on how to prepare for matches. PJ was very impressed with all the player’s commitment, and he really hopes they enjoyed the session.

Latest Training Aids

During the cue zones this year, players had the opportunity to use the latest coaching and training aids to enhance their sessions like the QLine, Master Doctor, Str8aim G-5 & SA-2, Chris Henry Balls, Academy laser, EBSA Coaching Balls which help to get the players on the line of aim and develop a smoother stroke in their delivery.

Promotion of the game

The Cue Zones have been organised by The European Billiards & Snooker Association to highlight the EBSA Coaching Academy.

EBSA have 116 Qualified coaches from Ireland, Croatia, France, Austria, Romania, Israel, Bulgaria, Wales, Malta, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Isle of Man, Hungary, Belgium, England, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Belarus, Switzerland, Almenia, Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Estonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Moldova on the EBSA coaching team.

Become a EBSA Coach

If you would like to become an EBSA Official Snooker Coach, first step is to get your National Governing body to write to the EBSA to nominate you to apply to hold or attend a course.

All the coaches must be nominated by their National Association and will complete this 3-day EBSA Course plus attend an online WPBSA Child Safeguarding course to become Qualified EBSA Coaches with WPBSA Accreditation.
