The Lord Mayor said “I want to congratulate the four players for their fantastic play in Israel and I can tell you now the City and everyone in Cork are very proud of them. Cork is a hub for sports such as GAA, Rugby, Soccer and many other sports throughout the City and the County and Snooker has always been a very big part of who we are and when we have four players breaking through to the next levels that is very exciting for everyone. I wish to congratulate the EBSA, the Cork Billiards and Snooker Association, the clubs, the friends and families who support Aaron, Greg, Ross and Noel and it is only right that we recognise the lads here tonight, well done and congratulations and I am sure we will see and hear a lot more about you in the years to come”.
