In the Ladies Event defending champion Wendy Jans is through to the semi’s thanks to a 4-1 victory over Ukraine’s Maria Bucharska. Wendy finished off the match with a great 55 break and she will now face Diana Stateczny who finally overcame France’s Christelle Pedat 4-3 after a truly epic five hours forty minutes match. 

They matched each other frame for frame to 3-3 until the German took the final frame 71-38 and will now face Wendy a little later than the scheduled time to give her a break in between matches. 

In the bottom half of the draw we will have an all Russian semi final as Daria Sirotina has put herself thorough to the semi to face her Russian doubles team mate Anastasia Nechaeva. Daria overcame ex-champ Tatjana Vasiljeva 4-3 knocking in a superb 20 break from green to pink in the final frame to seal the victory.

No.2 seed Nechaeva made her way through to the semi’s after she overcame England’s Vicky Carter 4-2 this afternoon knocking in a superb 59 break in the final frame.
